Today is Greg's birthday, the big 28! When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted me to make for his special day he requested a "Pineapple Upside Down Cake" . . . after such a request I had to confirm with him that he was turning 28, and not 80!
So I'm revamping it the old tradition and making it a double decker! Here's what I am attempting it to look like.

Happy birthday (late, I know) Greg! But gross request. Although Susan's variation doesn't look too bad. How did it turn out Susan?
I turned out pretty good. I didn't have a fancy cake platter to put mine on . . . and the middle kinda sunk in. But it tasted good, and that's half the battle!
